The research is focused in statistical methods for pattern recognition, machine learning and Bioinformatics. The group is supported by a grant from the Office of Naval Research and by funds coming from PRECISE a program sponsored by NSF to strenght the doctoral program in CISE at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus
